personality Emma has a strong mind, but has always been more on the reserved side. She is an independent young woman who actually enjoys the company of none other than her dog, Mason. She is loyal and honest, though softspoken. Emma hates controversial situations, and often avoids confrontation whenever she can. She is very sweet and compassionate regarding others, and tends to do a lot of volunteer work in her spare time.
dislikes - Animal cruelty - Dog fighting - Men who belittle women - Stupidity - Being bossed around

biography Emma was born and raised in California where her mother was a massage therapist and her father worked on cars. She grew up knowing a normal life. Her parents were always proud of her. She attended public schools and never got caught up in the wrong crowd, mostly because she preferred to be on her own. She had a few friends here and there. None of them compared to the friend she made on her seventeenth birthday. Her father had surprised her with a puppy, a black and white bundle of fur who she named Mason.
Mason was one of several puppies rescued from an abandoned house raided for suspected dog fighting. Inside the house, they found several cages containing pit bulls, including Mason's overbred mother, who appeared to be torn up from previous fights against other pit bulls. She was too weak to be a good fighter anymore, so they turned her into a practice dummy. Mason's mother had to be humanely euthanized.
Emma loved Mason from the minute she held him. He became her best friend. The two practically grew up together, up until Emma was supposed to leave for college. Her parents had pulled their entire life's savings from the bank in order to pay for her tuition. Emma declined the offer to attend a University up North, and insisted that her parents keep the money to pay their past-due bills.
Emma's parents refused to not let their daughter receive a higher education. They wanted nothing more than for their daughter to be financially stable in her adult years. Emma promised her parents that she wouldn't let them down. She packed up her things and headed East with Mason. She spent two years in Nevada documenting the state's wildlife with her great grandfathers camera. It had been a graduation gift.
Emma has since invested in a newer piece of equipment, and travels from one place to another in search of photo opportunities. She loves nature so much that her dream has become to photograph for the National Geographic. Her work is displayed on a Flickr account of more than seven hundred pages of wildlife photographs.
