personality Kind, intellegent, fair, and stubborn; those would be the simple words to descibe Rome's personality. The horse's perspective on the world has always been curious, searching, wondering. Rome feels Hunter Creek has been damned by those humans. His mind is ready to feel the emotions of others with a perspective glaze. Rome is a creative soul, he believes in his personal beliefs and will fight for them. Some would call him stubborn, but to Rome, it's called living up to your own expectations.
Rome isn't perfect. No one is perfect. He loses his temper when others push his buttons, that would be her most definite weakness. His thoughts are very spiritual and Rome relies heavily on his instincs. He's learnt with time, you must trust in yourself and follows that rule no matter what happens to him. He does tend to get a little paranoid with things that concern safety, more toward the one's he loves than his own self. Nor will he listen to someone giving him instructions, Rome doesn't follow rules all that well.Rome only follows the rules he sets for himself.
dislikes - Vicious, big headed other stallions. - Disturbing dangerous humans. - Annoying colts. - Things that slow you down. - Witnessing painful deaths.
imperfections - Stubborn - Fearful - Bottles Emotions - Anger - Saddness
biography Rome was born here in the wild areas of Hunter Creek. His father was a leading paint mustang stallion in the wild lands, and a tough one at that. His mother more interestingly was an expensive pure bred Holstiener mare from Italy. The owners of a very old historic stable had bought her as they're brand new show horse. Adelaide was her name and they over worked her, going to shows nearly every other day. She was beaten, cropped and punished when she didn't place in the top jumper shows. One day Adelaide saw a wild horse, Aeolis. The stallion was just curious about the humans and had ventured quite close the farms. He had noticed the poor beautiful mare and had told her all the fortunes of the wild. Adelaide immediatly ran away after that, wanting freedom so badly. Aeolis came with her and they started up a huge herd, Adelaide being the lead mare.
Though Adelaide's heart was free, she did not know the bad things about the wild. How hard it was in the winter or even more so; how hard it was to give birth to a foal and survive. Sadly, when spring came around, she was pregnant with Aeolis's foal inside. She was in pain the whole time, and after the foal came out; Adelaide died. But impossibly and amazingly so, the foal survived. Aeolis named the foal When in Rome, after his Italian mother. Rome nursed on another mare in his herd until he was weaned and started to turn into a supple beautiful stallion. Aeolis loved Rome so much, because he was exactly like his deseased mother. It had nearly broken Aeolis's heart when she had died until he learned to push all of his love onto Rome. But the day came, when he had to kick Rome out. Aeolis had kept the growing yearling far too long and he had to go. So Rome parted sadly away from his first family and searched for his own family.
Pretty soon he had found his own bachelour herd; living out his life playing and ruff housing with his adopted "brothers". Rome was quite the mischief maker as well, he would tempt stallions to fight him off and then run like the wind away. It was exciting and something fun to do for him. The stallion was now four, full grow, strong and ready to be serious. With much saddness, Rome parted from his brotherhood of bachelours and set "sail" for his own family. It has been nearly an year since then and he is still searching for his home.
