point system Each resident of Hunter Creek is given a starting amount of 50 points once their character has been accepted on the registration board. This currency can be spent or earned in various ways. Points will obviously be worth more to human characters than non-human characters. Some perks that may be earned via points include:
- Purchasing horses from the auction barn.
- Purchasing horses from other players (npc and non-npc).
- Stud or breeding fees.
- Monthly boarding expenses.
- Monthly rent and living costs.
- Lessons or training fees from other players.
Non-human characters may earn perks such as:
- Forming their own herd.
- Discovering new territories.
earning points- Earning points is as easy as posting on the forums. The point of implementing this sytem is to encourage roleplayers to actively interact on the forums. One post rewards 5 points.
- Since human characters will rely on points to pay their living expenses in Hunter Creek, they can obtain a job through the employent agency to earn extra points each month.
- Extra points may also be earned by selling services (riding lessons, breeding, etc.), or horses (whether they are npc horses or played by another individual). Selling an npc horse is the equivalent of a character adoption because the buyer will take over roleplaying as that npc horse along with their human character.
- Players who participate and/or win in-game and out of character contests are rewarded points. This includes Member of the Month ordeals.
- Additional points may be earned for being a good citizen. This includes helping new members, offering suggestions, referring people to join Hunter Creek, etc.
- Points may be transferred from different accounts, or shared among members. This gives members the opportunity to host their own events and contests.
